I play any 2 face cards,or any face card with a 8 9 10 possibly even a 7
I play 9 pairs or better
i play sometimes face card, low card Suited.
i never play low cards (below 9 suited, or below 9 paired)

and most importantly if I play a hand i stick around for the flop, i rarely ever chase the turn or river, (except when i have 4 suits and can make a flush)

and i follow these rules strictly, even more so when playing with 7 other players.

yet in the long run i end up losing, i dont bet big but still lose

yesterday i played limit poker 0.10 cent table and i managed to lose 6 dollars, mind you i never reraised reraised reraised, i played tons of hands………..

whats my problem?

If you punch in 2-7off against 2-3off, 2-7 wins 55%, 2-3off wins 25%, and there is an 18% chance of a tie. I thought that 2-7off was supposed to be the worst starting hand, wouldn’t that make it a dog against any hand heads-up pre-flop?
Look, I understand 2-3 has a chance to make a straight and 2-7 doesn’t, I get that. My question here is why we have all heard over and over that 2-7off is the worst starting hand when statistically speaking it isn’t? If it was actually the worst starting hand, it would not be a pre-flop favorite against any hand. Clearly, there are worse hands to start out with statistically, or this calculator thing is broken, one or the other.
