Bad beat or no? Rate 1-10?

Brandon A asked:

Texas Holdem is what we were playing, and there was 5 of us playing. Everybody was in the pot for the flop..

I had: K(clubs) K(Spades) so pockets in other words..

Flop: 10 (Clubs) Q (clubs) J (Clubs)

Pams cards: 8 (spades) 9 (spades), so flopped a straight
Steves cards: Q (hearts) Q (diamonds), flopped trips
Shane: All in preflop cause he was low chip stack with 6 6
Mark: J (Spades) 10 (diamonds), flopped two pair…

So here was the thing, everybody was in the pot, i was last to call the bets, and i was chip leader. I had highest pair that i knew of and possibly straight draw up or down or flush draw so i said all in..EVERYBODY called me.

So when i flipped my cards i was pretty beat up, they all had me beat in hands besides shane with his pocket 6’s.. I figured i would be low chip stack.. this is what happened…

Flop: 10(clubs) J(clubs) Q(clubs) Turn: 5 (hearts) River: A(club)

I got a ROYAL Straight flush on the river, i wanted to crap myself! bad beat?

About the Online Poker Game

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Poker News
Groshan Fabiola asked:

The games typically offered by online poker tables include Texas hold’em, Seven-card stud, Omaha, razz, and so on. The game structures of online poker are both tournament and ring game. Unlike the poker tournament, which is played with tournament chips that are worthless outside that tournament, ring games are played with “real” money and chips on the line. A ring game usually has no predetermined end time. Another difference between ring games and tournaments is that a predetermined style of poker will be played throughout the tournament, whereas with ring games players may be offered the option of playing other types of card games as well.

Players who are new to online poker are recommended to try ring games. They will be confined to a single table, but can join any table at any time and buy poker chips. In this online poker game players are allowed to cash out whenever they please, as opposed to a poker tournament, where players have to either lose or win all the poker chips before they can cash out. There will be a tournament entry fee with most online poker rooms.

At online poker players play against each other and not against the house, but the poker room still gets its money from the rake or through tournament fees. Online poker is responsible for the tremendous growth of the number of poker players all over the world. Poker players fall into two categories, play money and real money players. Play money players are usually new to poker and signing up as beginners gives them a chance to see what online poker is about before they start playing for real money.

Many people think that online poker is quite different from playing poker in a casino or at home, at least as far as the experience is concerned. Online poker players must learn to interpret some clues, which are not physical in nature. Unlike traditional poker, an online poker game doesn’t allow its players to see their opponents and study their reactions, which means that they have to focus more on other tells, such as reaction times or betting patterns. One of the most important requirements of online poker is adaptability, which means that players who wish to be successful must learn to master the new surroundings brought about by online poker.

Experienced poker players who want to go as far as bluffing at an online poker game should know that this is very different from bluffs in the real world, and it comes with both advantages and disadvantages to them. The obvious advantage is that online poker bluffing is more difficult to spot, but this can also be a big disadvantage if a player is trying to spot the others’ bluffs. All physical “tells” that you can pick up on when playing poker in the real world are missing here, so online players should be careful.

Before you become an experience poker player, be it online or in the real world, it wouldn’t hurt to get some tips on how some of these games are played, and learn some strategies. If you’re not playing for real money it doesn’t mean that you are wouldn’t like to win every now and then.

Why Online Poker Rooms are the Best Way to Have Fun

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Poker News
Muna wa Wanjiru asked:

When you go on to the internet looking for places where you can play poker you may see sites that invite you to come and play. These online poker rooms will have different poker game choices for you to choose from. You will be informed of the level of playing that occurs at each of these game “tables”. If you need help you will find links that will be of some help.

You should however understand that these online poker rooms do follow the same rules that the live poker games do. Also good game manners are appreciated and unruly behavior will cause you to be restricted from playing in a given site again. These rules are in place so that anyone who wishes to have a clean and fun game of poker will be able to. In the various online poker rooms you will not be playing for real money.

If however you do come across a site where you are required to lay down some money before you can play online then you should quite this site as quickly as you can. For the most part you will find that these online poker rooms have no need for any money before sent. You may instead be asked to become a member of the site.

There are some online poker rooms where you can take a quick tutorial that will introduce you to the game of poker. You will find that these poker games will progress in levels only when you have reached a certain point. So if you feel that you need a more challenging game you need to improve your poker skills.

With these many online poker rooms you can choose which types of poker that you want to play. You will have a choice of games like Texas Holdem, Full Tilt, Empire poker, Absolute Poker, 3 card poker and many more. These poker games are all variations on the same theme but you still need to know how to play that particular game itself. One of the interesting items that you will see in the online poker rooms is how the various poker chips are deposited on the table.

As you are playing in a virtual game you should expect that the game itself will look different from the real games. For the many people who want to play poker without having to travel to a casino or poker game itself these online poker rooms are the best way to have fun.
